At the top of the podcast, Adam talks about Kurt Cobain’s guitar selling for $6 million at auction. He also talks about his big break in showbiz lining up with Cobain’s death. Gina also asks Adam for some advice on getting a new car, and the guys talk about not living your life base on fear. Later, Adam talks with Peter Freedman of RODE Microphones, who recently purchased the Cobain guitar, and surprisingly plans to give it away. Gina then reads news stories about the noose found in Bubba Wallace’s NASCAR garage, the latest with the Aunt Jemima logo, and rules for a COVID-friendly ‘sextival’. Before the break, Gina reads a couple more stories about horrible Durian shipments, and home improvement projects not turning out the way you want.
John McAfee joins Adam for a 1-on-1 conversation in Part 2 of today’s pod. Adam asks John about his birth on a military base, his lifelong interest in computing and software development, and how his entrepreneurship shaped his life. They go on to discuss his multiple arrests, the awful prison conditions in the Dominican Republic, and being wanted by the U.S. government for not paying taxes the last 11 years. Later, Adam rants about ‘paying your fair share’, and John talks about the idea that our country is not our government. As the conversation wraps up, the John talks to Adam about heading toward totalitarianism, and why presidents don’t actually matter.
