Former President Donald Trump has written an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal - detailing why he decided to file class-action lawsuits against the social media giants, where he vows to never "stop fighting" for "constitutional rights".
Yesterday it was reported Mr Trump filed lawsuits against Twitter, Facebook and Google's YouTube in a Federal court in Florida over "censoring" the America people.
"One of the gravest threats to our democracy today is a powerful group of Big Tech corporations that have teamed up with government to censor the free speech of the American people," he wrote in the WSJ.
"This is not only wrong—it is unconstitutional. To restore free speech for myself and for every American, I am suing Big Tech to stop it."
Donald Trump believes the social media giants are "increasingly brazen and shameless in censoring and discriminating against ideas" including important subjects like the origins of COVID-19 and stories relating to President Joe Biden's family.
The former president issued a warning to the American people.
"Perhaps most egregious, in the weeks after the election, Big Tech blocked the social-media accounts of the sitting president," he wrote.
"f they can do it to me, they can do it to you—and believe me, they are."
Donald Trump concluded his email by urging big tech has been "unacceptable and unlawful" and he won't stop fighting for the American people.
"I will never stop fighting to defend the constitutional rights and sacred liberties of the American people."
